DTV Innovations announces compliance with implementation for Grupo Zócalo in the DTT network - Tele Saltillo - 10.1

Elgin, IL, May 22, 2020 – DTV Innovations Ltd. in conjunction with its partner Grupo Etercom S.A. de CV, have complied with the implementation for Grupo Zocalo for its DTT network in the state of Coahuila for its stations with Tele Saltillo identifier (10.1), in a period of two days, the quality of the signal being evaluated both in its emission as in its reception, the service being active uninterruptedly from January 19 of the current year.

After an analysis of costs in the use of different connectivity alternatives between its master station and its terrestrial transmission stations, among which the use of IP terrestrial networks, and / or fiber stood out, it was decided both for economy, performance and use in the use of an existing satellite network, as well as the use of video compression in HEVC, thereby achieving a reduction in the bandwidth used in the satellite (2.5 MHz) for an HD signal over an ATSC distribution for the most important cities in the state of Coahuila, and also expanding its coverage through cable system companies that redistribute in their base packages.

Tele Saltillo chose to use the professional video encoder Gryphon PVE-5 from DTV Innovations given its growth architecture through licensing and the option of having a satellite modulator integrated into the base hardware, as well as other input / output options.
